Heritage’s Christian Paul Excels with Two Top-10 Finishes at IESA State Meet

Heritage eighth-grader Christian Paul was a two-event placer in the IESA Class 1A boys’ state track and field meet.

Paul achieved personal-best times in both of his races, placing seventh in each one.

In the 800 meters, he was timed in 2:16.18. In the 1,600 meters, his final time was 5:01.48.

One other teammate joined Paul at state, which ended on Saturday (May 11) at the Eastside Centre, in East Peoria.

Landin McComas wound up 25^th in the shot put (34 feet, 2 inches).

Heritage placed 35^th in the team standings with four points. Meet champion Farmer City Blue Ridge totaled 37 points.
