Oakwood Softball’s Season Ends with 15-0 Loss to Westville in Regional Playoff

Caydence Vermillion’s single was the only Oakwood hit on Tuesday (May 14) in a 15-0 Class 2A regional softball loss to Westville.

The Comets end the season with an overall record of 8-20.

The team’s leading hitters for the season were Gracie Hanner (.453), Samantha Dunavan (.425) and Gracie Enos (.400).

Dunavan (25) and Hanner (21) led the way for runs scored.

Enos (20) and Hanner (17) were the RBI leaders.

Stealing the most bases were Hanner (11) and Dunavan (11).

Enos had the most extra-base hits (12), followed by Hanner (11) and Dunavan (10).

Vermillion was the team leader in pitching wins (five), innings pitched (99), strikeouts (116) and appearances (21).
