The Illinois Department of Transportation, in partnership with the Champaign County Highway Department, announces that on June 3, stop signs will be installed on Royal Road (CR 2100 N) at the intersection of St. Joe Road (CR 2200 E), approximately 4 miles west of Royal in Champaign County.
The new stop signs on Royal Road will convert the intersection to a four-way stop, meaning traffic on all four legs of the intersection will now have to stop. Currently, traffic does not have to stop on Royal Road at this intersection.
