Four St. Joseph-Ogden Softball Players Earn Spots on Illinois Class 2A All-State Teams

Four St. Joseph-Ogden athletes earned recognition on Illinois Coaches Association Class 2A All-State softball teams.
The SJ-O representative on the 28-player first team was senior infielder Addy Martinie. Senior outfielder Addison Frick was a second-team selection.
Receiving third-team status were sophomore pitcher Timera Blackburn-Kelley and junior infielder Grace Osterbur.
Martinie was the top batter (.505 average) on a 30-7 team. She also drove in a team-best 54 runs.
Frick batted .380 and led the Spartans with 49 runs scored. Osterbur batted .429.
Blackburn-Kelley was the team’s pitching ace. She compiled a 15-2 record with a 1.46 earned run average. She struck out 163 hitters in 111 innings.

Eight SJ-O players were honored on one of the all-conference teams chosen by Illini Prairie Conference coaches.
Frick and Martinie were named to the 11-player first team.
Spartans picked for the 12-player second team were Blackburn-Kelley, senior Chloe Harper and Osterbur.
The nine-player honorable mention list featured senior Halle Brazelton, freshman Hayden Dahl and sophomore Emma McKinney.
