Asher Pruemer Leads St. Joseph-Ogden Boys’ Golf to Strong Finishes at Urbana Classic and Danville Tri-Meet

Asher Pruemer shot an 84 and tied for 18th on Monday (Aug. 19) as the St. Joseph-Ogden boys’ golf team finished in a sixth-place tie in the 13-school Urbana Kick-off Classic in Savoy.
Garrett Loschen tied for 26th in the 81-person field with an 89. Graham Ray (90) tied for 30th.
Other leaders for the Spartans were Trevor Ames (95), Devan Swisher (98) and Wade Clark (113).
SJ-O had a composite score of 358.
On Wednesday (Aug. 21), SJ-O topped both Chrisman and Oakwood in a three-school meet at Danville’s Harrison Park.
The Spartans had a 178 team composite, followed by Chrisman (208) and Oakwood (278).
Individually, Pruemer and Swisher fired 42s to tie for second individually. Ray carded a 43 and placed fourth individually.
Other SJ-O leaders were Ames (48), Loschen (50) and Hank Rajlich (61).
On Friday (Aug. 16), Swisher posted the low score for SJ-O (85) and tied for 30th in the 79-player Champaign Central Invitational, in Savoy.
Ames came in at 88 and was followed by Pruemer (90), Loschen (94), Ray (102) and Isaiah Uskali (104).
SJ-O will return to action on Thursday (Aug. 22) against Danville at Willow Pond, in Rantoul.
