Four SJ-O Runners Win Their Races at Chrisman Cowchip Invitational

Four St. Joseph-Ogden athletes were victorious in their flighted races on Saturday (Sept. 7) at the 26-school Chrisman Cowchip boys’ cross-country invitational.
Beating all pursuers in their individual 3-mile races were Colin Burnett (race for No. 3 runners, 17 minutes, 10.3 seconds), Eli Franklin (race for No. 6 runners, 17:29.0), E.J. Beckett (race for No. 7 runners, 17:48.9) and Nate Farney (open race, 17:37.9).
Other SJ-O results were Joe Griebat (second for No. 4 runners,18:01.1), Lance Retz (fifth for No. 2 runners,17:19.3), Aiden Hundley (fifth for No. 5 runners, 19:05.4).
Other Spartans besides Farney in the top 10 in the open race were Cyrus Zadeh (fourth in 19:16.3) and Nathan Hinkel (seventh in 19:42.0).
SJ-O returns to action on Tuesday (Sept. 10) in a three-school meet at Kickapoo State Park.
