SJ-O Edges Watseka 4-3 with Strong Singles and Doubles Performances

St. Joseph-Ogden won two matches in singles and two matches in doubles on Thursday (Sept. 5) and garnered a 4-3 team win at Watseka.

Samantha Kelso scored a 6-4, 6-0 victory at No. 2 singles over Marisa Clark.

At No. 4 singles, Madison Farber survived a three-set match and prevailed, 8-3, 2-6, 10-8 over Reagan Anderson.

In doubles, the Spartans No. 1 unit of Lily Rice and MaKennah Hamilton posted a 9-8, 7-2 win.

At No. 2 doubles, Ella Dietiker and Sara Kearney teamed up for an 8-5 victory.

On Saturday (Sept. 7), the Spartans dropped a 7-0 decision at Paris.

SJ-O (1-3) returns to action on Monday (Sept. 9) at Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley.
