Savanna Franzen Leads St. Joseph-Ogden Girls’ Cross Country at Meet of Champions in Terre Haute

Savanna Franzen placed 54^th on Saturday (Oct. 5) in the Meet of Champions 5,000-meter girls’ cross-country race at Terre Haute, Ind.

Franzen’s time was 19:07.97.

Trailing her were Grace Bressner (120^th in 19:48.68) and Tessa Walker (260^th in 20:59.85).

Other SJ-O competitors were Abigail Bello (22:42.24), Sydney Steinbach (14:44.68) and Kiah Riesel (26:31.11).

The Spartans finished 41^st in the 54-school event.

SJ-O returns to action on Tuesday (Oct. 8) in the Illini Prairie Conference Meet at Rantoul.
