Your comment sounds quite like an ignorant troll or bot. I applaud Maryland for taking a stand to protect US citizens’ private information from untrained civilian techies with no security clearances. Based on experience with dealing with the SSA over the years, they run a tight ship and I doubt if any fraud can get pass them. If they ever make a mistake in calculations, they will not stop until they get back every penny even if the recipient is no longer alive.
