Psychologists & therapists must report abuse or suicide threats. Young children must be protected! If someone confesses to sexually abusing a child, the priest MUST report it & he should demand that perpetrators should confess to the appropriate law office or to Child Protective Services. The lack of reporting will cause a child to be continually abused. Jesus is in charge of forgiving sin. I was a caseworker in Texas for 30 years and saw more than my share of child sexual abuse victims & the emotional damage the abuse caused, and often the damage is carried into adulthood.
