Night Lights event is set to return to the Mabery Gelvin Botanical Garden at Lake of the Woods Forest Preserve, promising a magical holiday experience for residents and visitors in the Champaign-Urbana area.
Starting Friday, November 28, and running every Friday and Saturday evening through December 27, plus a special viewing on Christmas Eve, December 24, the garden will glow with festive, enchanting light displays from 4 to 8 PM, all open to the public free of charge.
Guests can stroll illuminated garden paths, take in colorful displays, and enjoy the spirit of the season in a beautiful natural setting.
Adding to the excitement, Night Lights 2025 features a series of special free events designed to enhance the holiday experience:
- Lunar Lore, Friday, Dec. 5, 5:30–8 PM
- To Grandmother’s House We Go!, Saturday, Dec. 6, 4–7 PM
- Live Music and Hot Drinks, Friday, Dec. 12, 4–8 PM
- Sip & Learn: Hot Cups of Culture, Saturday, Dec. 13, 4–6 PM
- Carolers & Hot Chocolate, Friday, Dec. 19, 5:30–7 PM
