There’s no place like Homer for the Holidays.
But in 2020, the Champaign County Forest Preserve district has to move the annual holiday crafting event into participants’ homes.
Because the Salt Fork Center is closed due to COVID-19, CCFPD will provide all the supplies and instructions in a free kit that will be available at the Homer Lake Interpretative Center on Dec. 8 until supplies are gone.
Because there are a limited number of kits, the district asks that each person only take one kit.
Kits will be on the porch of the Interpretative Center from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. while supplies last.
