Kyleigh Block had 12 assists and six kills on Monday, but Villa Grove lost its volleyball opener at home to Blue Ridge, 23-25, 25-18, 25-9.
Logan Lillard had a team-high seven kills and VG teammate Madie Burwell collected six kills.
The Blue Devils reached the win column on Tuesday (March 23) at home against Arcola, pulling off a 26-24, 25-21 sweep.
Burwell totaled seven kills. Block had nine assists and six kills. Kayln Cordes had a team-high 10 assists.
Villa Grove (1-1) returns to action on Thursday (March 25) at Toledo Cumberland.
