Heritage volleyball on 4-game win streak

The surging Hawks earned their fourth win in their last five matches on Monday (April 12), overpowering Cumberland 25-19, 25-14 in Toledo.

For the fourth match in a row, Mary Roland handed out more than 20 assists. She had 21 to go with five digs, three kills and two aces.

Bri Struck continues to be a force offensively. She hammered 12 kills and also had five digs and a block.

Kiley Knoll had a team-high seven digs as well as two kills and an ace.

Torie Rothermel put together a five-kill, four-dig performance while Anna Sanders contributed four kills, three digs and two aces.

Lily Ploense had one dig and Adena Paul chipped in with one block.

On Tuesday (April 13), the Hawks continued their winning ways by scoring a sweep at Sangamon Valley, 25-12, 25-18.

Struck added to her kill totals by pounding 10 more. She also had five digs, one ace and one block.

Knoll totaled six kills, six digs and two aces.

Roland turned in a 21-assist, 4-dig, one-block and one-kill performance.

Sanders chipped in with five kills and one dig while Rothermel finished with two kills and a block. Ploense registered six digs.

Other contributors were Trinity Tatman (three digs) and Savannah Gilliland (two digs).

Heritage (5-7) returns to action on Thursday (April 15) at home against Oakwood. The Hawks have won four matches in a row and five of their last six.
