Three Hawks finish PBL course in under 20-minutes

Heritage’s Zach Ruwe ran his personal-best on Saturday (Sept. 11) and finished ninth in the 92-runner Paxton-Buckley-Loda Cross-Country Invitational.
Ruwe completed the 3-mile course in 17 minutes and 18 seconds.
Two other Hawks finished the race in less than 19 minutes. Hunter Montgomery was 26th in 18:37 and Rowan Denmark-Collins was 33rd in 18:52.
The other Heritage runners were Lukas Carey (60th in 20:03), Aidan Ashbrook (66th in 20:28) and Cohen Sands (79th in 22:29).
Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond won team honors with 58 points. Runner-up Herscher had 77 points. Heritage was eighth in the 12-school event with 170 points.
Heritage will return to action on Tuesday (Sept. 14) at Tuscola.
