Wheelhouse owners to open Homegrown in Urbana
St. Joseph’s Wheelhouse owners Abbie and Ryan Rogiers will help the University of Illinois Division of Intercollegiate Athletics open a new restaurant, Homegrown in the Atkins Golf Club by early December.
The farm-to-table concept is an extension of their vision for St. Joseph’s Wheelhouse, with opened in 2017. Natives of St. Joe’s, the Rogiers returned home to East Central Illinois to raise their family and serve high-quality farm-to-table cuisine. Homegrown will take that same concept, including, in time, growing organic ingredients on a plot of land in the Stone Creek Subdivision.
Homegrown’s menu will include tasty cuisine such as marcoot creamery herb and garlic cheese curds, buttermilk chicken wings, Cuban Rueben, grass fed beef stew, and a 16-oz. ribeye.
