PV-O girls basketball finishes regular season with win

The Prairieview Ogden girls’ junior high basketball teams finished the regular season with wins on Tuesday (Nov. 16) at Homer against Heritage.
The seventh-graders captured a 28-4 win. Korrine Travis scored six points and Grace Bressner tallied five points.
The eighth-graders prevailed, 46-10, behind a season-high 14 points from Ally Schmitz. Caroline Aden seconded her with 12 points.
The seventh-graders take a 5-11 overall record into the IESA regionals on Monday (Nov. 22). Third-seeded PVO will take on second-seeded DeLand-Weldon in a Class 1A semifinal game at Champaign Holy Cross.
The eighth-graders are 11-5 overall with wins in eight of their last nine games. Their postseason pairings are not yet set.
