Spartans ranked 10th in first AP Class 2A poll

Ty Pence posted his third 30-point game of the season on Saturday (Dec. 11) helping the unbeaten St. Joseph-Ogden boys’ basketball team to a 67-44 triumph at Casey-Westfield.
Pence hit three three-point shots and 5-of-5 free throws on the way to a game-high 30 points. Evan Ingram scored 12 points and freshman Coy Taylor reached double figures for the first time in his high school career.
Taylor tallied 10 points and was second on the team with five rebounds.
SJ-O led, 14-7, after one quarter and 32-17 at halftime.
Ingram cleared a team-high nine rebounds. Andrew Beyers and Logan Smith each collected four assists.
SJ-O (7-0) returns to action on Tuesday (Dec. 14) at Danville. The Spartans were ranked 10th in The Associated Press Class 2A state poll.
