Armstrong-Potomac/Gifford handed Heritage setbacks on Tuesday (Jan. 11) in both the seventh- and eighth-grade volleyball matches.
The Heritage seventh-graders lost, 25-11, 25-13. Jayden Schrock landed two aces. McKenna Roedl posted two digs and one kill.
The Heritage eighth-graders dropped a 25-11, 25-15 decision. Addi Hopper provided seven digs and two service aces. Bre McGarigle contributed two digs and one kill.
On Thursday (Jan. 13), the Heritage eighth-graders topped Rossville-Alvin in Homer, 25-23, 25-9.
Faith Latham had eight aces, three digs and two kills. Hopper posted six digs and two aces. McGarigle registered four aces, three kills and two digs.
Among the team’s other contributors were Kiara Jones with four aces and three kills, Kierra Dunlap with two aces and one dig, and Mattie White with one kill and one dig.
The eighth-graders won their second match in a row on Tuesday (Jan. 18), posting a 25-21, 25-20 win at Oakwood.
Latham had nine digs, four assists, two kills and an ace. Jada Finley totaled four aces, three digs and one kill. Dunlap contributed three aces and two kills.
Jones finished with four digs and McGarigle put up two kills and two digs. White had two assists and one ace.
The Heritage eighth-graders have a 3-2 record.
The Heritage seventh-graders suffered a close loss to Rossville-Alvin, 25-23, 25-21.
Bre Ploense had seven aces and one block. Hopper served four aces and Lillie Bishop contributed one kill and one dig.
The short-handed seventh-graders dropped a 25-8, 25-20 decision at Oakwood on Tuesday (Jan. 18).
Brianna Day served six aces. Bishop had two aces and one kill. Schrock added one ace.
The seventh-graders have a 1-4 season record.
Heritage returns to action on Thursday (Jan. 20) at Homer against Prairieview Ogden.
