Morris finishes second at GCMS Invitational

Oakwood’s Allie Morris was the runner-up on Friday (April 22) in the 3,200-meter race in the Gibson City Lady Falcon track and field invitational.
Her time was 5 minutes, 57.60 seconds. Nikita Taylor placed fourth in the long jump (14 feet, 9 inches).
The Comets also had three relays that scored points.
The same four runners helped the 400-meter relay to a fifth-place finish and the 800-meter relay to a seventh-place finish.
Teaming up for a time of 57.68 seconds in the 400 relay were Taylor Smoot, Gwen Cambron, Taylor and Aubrie Elliott. Their time in the 800-meter relay was 2:05.18.
Oakwood’s 1,600-meter relay foursome of Cambron, Taylor, Alyssa Wells and Morris took seventh in 5:13.17.
Oakwood returns to action on Monday (April 25) at Covington, Ind.
