Hawks post top 10 finishes at Mahomet-Seymour meet

Six different Heritage athletes posted the team’s top time or distance on Tuesday (April 26) in a six-school girls’ track and field meet at Mahomet.
Loran Tate was the leader in three individual events. She placed fourth in both the long jump (13 feet, 6 inches) and triple jump (30 feet, 2 inches). She ended 13th in the 200 meters (30.05 seconds).
She also ran a leg on the Hawks’ sixth-place 800-meter relay, joining Madi Wilson, Bailee Lubben and Alex Tatman. Their time was 2:09.78.
Other team leaders were Adena Paul (10th in the shot put at 25 feet, 8 inches), Wilson (10th in the 300 hurdles in 1:02.55), Kamryn Soard (11th in the high jump at 4 feet, 3 inches), Lillian Montgomery (11th in the discus at 73 feet, 10 inches and 13th in the 400 meters in 1:15.28) and Tatman (19th in the 100 meters in 14.84 seconds).
The Hawks return to action on Friday (April 29) at the Monticello Invitational.
