Ruwe finishes fifth at Cowchip Classic

Heritage junior Zach Ruwe was the fifth-place finisher on Saturday (Sept. 3) in the flighted Chrisman Cowchip Boys’ Cross-Country Classic, a meet which attracted runners from 25 high schools.
Ruwe ran the 3-mile layout for No. 1 runners from each school in 17 minutes, 11.7 seconds.
Heritage finished sixth in the team chase with 232 points.
Following Ruwe were Rowan Denmark-Collins (third among No. 2 runners in 17:49.6); Hunter Montgomery (10th among No. 3 runners in 20:19.1); Aiden Ashbrook (fourth among No. 4 runners in 18:29.3); Cohen Sands (seventh among No. 5 runners in 19:59.1); Eli Denmark-Collin (ninth among No. 6 runners in 20:03.0) and Robert Holloman (sixth among No 7 runners in 20:01.7).
Heritage will return to action on Saturday (Sept. 10) in the Paxton-Buckley-Loda Invitational.
