Spartan volleyball on 8-game win streak

St. Joseph-Ogden started the week with two volleyball wins, raising its winning streak to eight matches.
The Spartans won at home on Monday (Sept. 19), handling Marshall, 25-13, 25-9.
Senior Taylor Hug turned in a 24-assist, three-dig performance.
Leading the balanced attack were Addie Roesch (eight kills), Peyton Willims (seven kills), Shayne Immke (five kills) and Josey Frerichs (four kills).
Roesch served three aces while Emma Ward and Williams each contributed two aces. Roesch collected five digs and Ward totaled four.
On Tuesday (Sept. 20) in Tolono, SJ-O swept Unity, 25-20, 25-10. Six straight Spartan wins have been accomplished in two-set sweeps.
Mikyla Haley turned in a 10-dig, two-ace showing. Hug wound up with 14 assists, seven digs and three aces.
Roesch put up nine digs, six kills and two aces. Immke ended with seven digs and five kills.
SJ-O (13-4) returns to action on Thursday (Sept. 22) at home against Pontiac.
