Junior Lilli Montgomery recorded 22 digs and junior Destanee Morgan contributed 18 digs on Monday (Sept. 19) as the Heritage volleyball team won at home, topping Chrisman, 26-24, 25-7.
Senior Adena Paul slammed eight kills and senior Bryn Wyant added seven kills. Sophomore Gracie Tate served three aces.
On Tuesday (Sept. 20), also at home, the Hawks lost to Cerro Gordo/Bement, 25-22, 13-25, 28-26.
Mary Roland recorded a double-double with 31 assists and 17 digs. She also landed two aces.
Also producing monster performances were Morgan (31 digs) and Montgomery (29 digs). Montgomery served four aces and Morgan had one ace to go with four kills.
Other Hawks who contributed at a high level were Tate (20 digs and six kills), Wyant (12 kills, seven digs and one ace), Paul (seven kills, two digs and one ace) along with Riley Miller (four kills and one dig).
Heritage (7-7-1) returns to action on Thursday (Sept. 22) at Bethany against Okaw Valley.
