Pence’s season high helps Spartans defeat Danville

Senior Ty Pence recorded his second double-double of the season on Tuesday (Dec. 13) at home as St. Joseph-Ogden topped Danville, 66-53, in a non-conference boys’ basketball game.

Pence scored a season-high 35 points and pulled down 10 rebounds.

He was backed by Coy Taylor, who generated 13 points and seven rebounds.

Tanner Jacob netted nine points and Logan Smith contributed six points to go with a team-high five assists. Brock Trimble recorded three points.

SJ-O (6-0) is ranked fifth in the state in Class 2A and returns to action on Tuesday (Dec. 20) at Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin.
