Hawks season comes to an end in loss to Shiloh

Fourth-seeded Heritage dropped a 46-33 decision in the IESA Class 1A boys’ basketball semifinals to top-seeded Champaign Next Generation on Monday (Jan. 23) at Shiloh.
To reach the semis, Heritage handed fifth-seeded Philo St. Thomas a 43-16 first-round loss on Saturday (Jan. 21).
On Thursday (Jan. 19), the Heritage seventh-graders lost their home finale to Prairieview Ogden, 57-22. Cameron Johnson hit a team-high 12 points.
Landin McComas totaled six points.
The Heritage seventh-graders end the season with a 12-8 overall record, but since Jan. 1 the team was 4-2.
PVO’s eighth-graders scored a 52-14 victory over Heritage. Clark Roland led Heritage with five points. Johnson scored four points and James Dillon added three points.
The Heritage eighth-graders are 5-13 and start the postseason with a regional game against the host school at Urbana University High on Saturday (Jan. 28) at 10:30 a.m. Uni High is the No. 3 Seed and Heritage is the No. 6 seed.
