Spartans pick up win at home

St. Joseph-Ogden put up six runs in the final three innings on Monday (March 27) and topped Salt Fork, 6-3, in a baseball game away from home.
Luke Landrus, Adam Price and Charles Voorhees all swatted two hits. Maddux Carter drove in two runs.
Nolan Earley retired all eight batters he faced – four via strikeouts – and earned the pitching win. Kendrick Johnson worked the first 4 1/3 innings and, for his second straight start, did not walk a batter.
On Wednesday (March 29), Jack Robertson became the fourth Spartan with a pitching win this spring. He worked four innings as SJ-O played its first home game and topped Centennial, 4-1. Robertson allowed four hits and four walks. He struck out six.
Combining to finish the game with three scoreless innings were Connor Hale and Price.
Caleb Ochs doubled and drove in two runs.
The Spartans (4-3) return to action on Thursday (March 30) at St. Thomas More.
