Unofficial elections results April 4, 2023
Incumbents Jim Wagner, Dan Davis and Arthur Rapp defeated Kelly Skinner and Alexis West-Henkleman for three Village of St. Joseph seats in the 2023 consolidated election on April 4. This was the only contest race in St. Joseph.
William Hechler, Dawn Huls, Richard Ingram and Kathleen Munday won seats on the St. Joseph Township – Swearingen Memorial Library board. Jennifer Wagner, Lois Hewerdine and Jeffrey Damler won three seats on the St. Joseph CCSD #169 board while Les Hoveln, Kathy McCormick, Kevin Taylor and a write-in candidate will be placed on the St. Joseph-Ogden #305 board.
In Ogden James Acklin, Sue Esposito and Benjamin Smith will take three seats on the Village Board. Pamela Guess, Becky Sweeney and Victoria Hill will be on the Ogden Rose Library Board.
Todd Roberts will be the Village President in Royal joining Maury Busboom, Craig Loschen and Rodney Moorhous for Village seats.
Chantelle Thompson, Joey Rice and Troy Schiff were elected as the Homer Library trustees. Thomas Wakefield and Shannon Patterson were chosen for the Homer Fire Department seats.
James White will remain Mayor in Homer, joining Roger Faulkner, Michael Johnson and John Dodd on the board of trustees. Kimberley Keniley-Ashbrook, Zacary Wells and a write-in candidate will be seated on the Heritage CUSD #8 board.
Voters in Vermilion County blocked an effort to impose a one-percent sales tax on certain items in order to benefit schools for the third time on April 4.
Robert Wright will be the Mayor of Oakwood while Matthew Trimmell, Lindsay Light, Robert Parr and Scott Alan Fegett won seats on the Village of Oakwood Board.
Ruey Sandusky won a seat on the Oakwood Public Library Board while Hanea Hicks and Erik Plotner are on the Oakwood CUSD #76 board.
