St. Joseph-Ogden baseball wins at Bloomington Central Catholic

Adam Price collected four hits on Monday (April 3) as St. Joseph-Ogden’s baseball team produced a 3-1 victory at Bloomington Central Catholic.

Maddux Carter and Charles Voorhees each ended with two hits. Jared Altenbaumer had a double and drove in two runs.

Nolan Earley pitched five innings and notched the win. He allowed five hits and one walk while striking out eight batters.

Luke Landrus worked the last two scoreless innings, yielding one hit and two walks. He registered one strikeout.

On Wednesday (April 5), the Spartans dropped a 5-3 decision to Pleasant Plains in a game played at Decatur’s Millikin University.

Price added two more hits (and is 6-for-6 for the week) and delivered two RBI.

Landrus contributed three hits. Carter, Landrus and Jack Roberton each scored a run.

Connor Hale worked five innings of two-hit relief after taking over for Caleb Ochs. Hale walked one batter and struck out eight.

SJ-O (6-4) returns to action on Thursday (April 6) at home against Rantoul. The Spartans are 2-0 in Apollo Conference action.
