Kids to Parks Day scheduled for May 20 at Forest Glen Preserve

Forest Glen Preserve will be hosting a FREE “Kids to Parks Day” celebration on Saturday, May 20 from 1 – 3 p.m.  All kids must be accompanied by an adult – great for families!  The Nature Center will be open with a craft station inside along with taxidermy and live wildlife.  Guided 1-mile hikes with our trained educators start at 1:15 p.m. and 2:15 p.m.  Bring a picnic lunch and make a day of it.

Also on May 20, tour the Homestead Cabin and meet a Viking Reenactor from 10:00 a.m. – 4 p.m.  We encourage you to take the day to explore your local parks!  For more information, please call 217-662-2142, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM.
