Mills picks up third hat trick of 2023 season

Logan Mills scored his third hat trick of the season on Thursday (Sept. 7) as the St. Joseph-Ogden soccer team posted a 6-0 shutout victory at home over St. Thomas More.

In addition to his three goals, Mills had one assist.

Tyler Hess netted two goals and Alex Acosta hit the back of the net one time. Spencer Wilson and Zach Harper each assisted on one goal.

Goalkeeper Jacek Slowikowski finished with six saves.

On Saturday (Sept. 9), the Spartans took a 6-3 loss at home against Urbana University High.

Wilson had a goal and an assist. Also scoring goals were Acosta and Harper. Slowikowski produced a season-high 12 saves.

SJ-O (7-3) returns to action on Monday (Sept. 11) at Blue Ridge.
