Abby McDonald captures 400th coaching-career win

Peyton Williams put down nine kills on Monday (Sept. 11), helping St. Joseph-Ogden to a two-set volleyball sweep over visiting Hoopeston Area, 25-12, 25-22.
The win was No. 400 in the coaching career of the Spartans’ Abby McDonald, who is a Hoopeston Area graduate.
Addie Roesch contributed seven kills and six digs. Reese Wheatley recorded three blocks. Williams also had four digs.
On Wednesday (Sept. 13), SJ-O upended Danville at home, 25-11, 25-14.
Halle Brazelton finished with 17 assists, four service aces and four digs. Williams pounded seven kills and added eight digs. Roesch totaled six kills, six digs, three aces and one block.
SJ-O (13-2) returns to action on Thursday (Sept. 14) at St. Thomas More.
