Mills fifth hat trick leads SJ-O Soccer over Judah Christian

Junior Logan Mills collected his fifth hat trick of the season on Monday (Sept. 25) as the St. Joseph-Ogden soccer team rolled past visiting Judah Christian, 7-0.

Mills is one of three Spartans with at least 20 goals this season and he has a team-high 25.

Overall, SJ-O athletes have notched 12 hat tricks this season.

Also scoring for SJ-O were Alex Acosta, Davin Alvarez and Zach Harper.

Assists were provided by Acosta, Harper, Wade Clark and Carter Turner.

Goalkeeper Jaxson Colvin recorded two saves.

On Tuesday (Sept. 26), the Spartans suffered a 4-2 loss to Central Catholic in Bloomington.

Harper and Tyler Hess punched in the team’s goals. Mills had an assist.

Hess is the Spartans’ fifth squad member with at least five goals this season, joining Acosta, Harper, Mills and Wilson.

Jacek Slowikowski recorded eight saves.

SJ-O (12-6) returns to action on Friday (Sept. 29) at St. Anne.
