Spartans lose season opener at home

St. Joseph-Ogden opened its’ girls’ basketball season at home on Saturday (Nov. 18) and couldn’t keep pace with an opponent playing its third game.
The Spartans suffered a 48-41 loss to Pleasant Plains (2-1).
SJ-O trailed, 28-23, at halftime.
Addison Frick (15 points) and Addy Martinie (10 points) were the top SJ-O scorers.
Addison Seggebruch tallied eight points. Also scoring for the Spartans were Katie Ericksen (four points), Addison Brooks (three points) and Timera Blackburn-Kelley (one point).
SJ-O (0-1) returns to action on Tuesday (Nov. 21) at home against Paris.
