Emmitt and Brazelton win two in dual meet

Two St. Joseph-Ogden wrestlers won both of their matches on Tuesday (Dec. 5) as the Spartans split two dual meets at home.
SJ-O edged Clifton Central, 40-35, and lost to unbeaten Oakwood/Salt Fork, 63-15.
Emmitt (106 and 113 pounds) was 2-0 for the night as was teammate Holden Brazelton (138 pounds). Holt produced two pins, one in 47 seconds.
Brazelton won by a major decision (15-1) and by a regular decision (9-2).
Other Spartans with a pin for the night were Landen Butts (132 pounds), Devan Swisher (160 pounds) and Quincy Jones (285 pounds). Nick Harris (106 pounds) picked up a forfeit win.
SJ-O (3-2) returns to action on Friday (Dec. 8) in the Pontiac girls’ tournament and on Saturday (Dec.9) in the Petersburg Porta Invitational.
