BH/RA comes back to defeat Oakwood basketball

Oakwood couldn’t hold into an early lead and lost a 64-53 decision at home on Tuesday (Dec. 12) to Vermilion Valley Conference rival Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin.
Alec Harrison led the Comets with 17 points. Jackson Dudley tallied 16 points. Teammates Carsen Dudley and Cort Vermillion each ended with seven points. Brody Taflinger contributed six points.
Oakwood connected on eight three-point shots, including three by Jackson Dudley. Converting two three-pointers apiece were Carsen Dudley and Vermillion. Taflinger nailed one shot from beyond the arc.
The Comets led,13-7, after one period, but had fallen behind, 30-21, at halftime.
Oakwood (8-3) returns to action on Friday (Dec. 15) at home against Armstrong-Potomac.
