State-ranked Spartans defeat Decatur St. Teresa

Five players scored in double figures on Tuesday (Jan. 30) as the St. Joseph-Ogden boys’ basketball team subdued visiting Decatur St. Teresa, 72-51.
Luke Landrus led the way for SJ-O with 15 points. He was closely followed by Tanner Siems (14 points), Coy Taylor (12 points), Tanner Jacob (11 points) and Logan Smith (10 points).
Smith also recorded nine assists and six rebounds. Siems posted eight rebounds and five steals. Taylor had five assists. Finishing with four rebounds and three steals was Jacob.
SJ-O (19-6) is ranked 12th in this week’s Class 2A Associated Press state poll. The Spartans return to action on Friday (Feb. 2) at home against Pontiac.
