Oakwood Athletes Set Personal Bests at Unity High School Girls’ Track Invitational

Six Oakwood athletes placed among the top 25 individually and established new personal bests on Friday (April 12) in the 18-team Unity High School girls’ track and field invitational.
Aubri Elliott was the Comets’ top placer, running third in the 200 meters (28.86 seconds). Elliott was also ninth in the 100 meters (13.62 seconds).
Also in the 100 meters, Leanne Snow was 22nd (14.61 seconds).
Hurdlers Laylah Gibbons (21.19) and Riley Denhalter (21.47) finished 14th and 15th, respectively, in the 100-meter event.
Oakwood’s Breanna Bolser ended 22nd in the 400 meters (1:30.51).
The Comets placed 17th with six points. Meet champion Tuscola totaled 111 points.
Oakwood returns to action on Thursday (April 18) at Westville.
