SJ-O Volleyball Splits Matches at Bradley-Bourbonnais Tournament, Led by Seggebruch’s 25 Kills

St. Joseph-Ogden’s volleyball team split its four matches on Saturday (Oct. 19) in the Bradley-Bourbonnais Tournament.
The Spartans defeated Kankakee (25-18, 25-20) and Rock Island (25-24, 25-18), but lost to Newark (25-23, 25-16) and Tri-Valley (25-23, 25-20).
Ava Seggebruch blasted 25 kills for the day and shared the team lead in digs with Katie Ericksen. Each player had 27 digs.
Seggebruch also had three blocks.
Tinley Ideus wound up with 17 kills, 23 digs, three service aces and three assists.
Reese Wheatley put down 12 kills and posted a team-leading six blocks.
Emma McKiney distributed 60 assists to go with 21 digs and five service aces.
Thea Smith turned in 17 digs for the day.
SJ-O (15-16) returns to action on Monday (Oct. 21) at home against Downs Tri-Valley.
