Double Feature: University of Illinois Extension Brings Health and Family Life Event to Windsor of Savoy

The Windsor of Savoy, located at 401 Burwash Ave, Savoy, will host the Double Feature in conjunction with the University of Illinois Extension on Nov. 6 from 1-3 PM.

The program is open to all and encourages participants to attend one or both sessions provided on the afternoon’s agenda.

The event begins at 1 PM with “Eating Well as You Age,” presented by Extension Program Coordinator Vanessa Jones. This session will cover essential tips for maintaining health through smart food choices, focusing on practical strategies for senior nutrition.​

Following a short intermission, the second session, “Who Gets Grandma’s Yellow Plate?” starts at 2 PM with Family Life Educator Emily Harmon. This presentation addresses making fair decisions regarding meaningful personal items, learn ways to prevent conflict, having healthy discussions, and keeping family
relationships strong.
