St. Joseph-Ogden Senior Spotlights: Taddy Pettit, Bode Gebbink, Jordan Stiverson, Brodie Sullivan
Taddy Pettit
Cross Country (4 years), Track and Field (1 year), Tennis, Drama Club, Maroon Platoon, Spanish Club, Chorus
Taddy lives in St. Joseph with his family. He has six siblings: one older brother, one older sister, and four younger sisters. His hobbies include working with a lot of friends at Sholem pool, playing the ukulele, and hanging out with friends and family. Taddy has many great memories at SJO. He will always remember his senior cross country season and the environment at all of the home football games as a member of the Maroon Platoon. Throughout high school, Taddy also enjoyed being a part of the Man Squad, Drama Club plays and musicals, prom his sophomore year, and Homecoming attendant his sophomore year. Additionally, he enjoyed receiving an academic letter during his senior year. After high school, Taddy plans to attend Illinois State University to study sustainable energy systems and pre-law. His advice for future SJO students is to not take school for granted. Taddy’s favorite classes at SJO include Spanish all four years, Physics, Trigonometry, Strength, and Biology. Throughout his years of schooling, Taddy’s favorite teachers include Mrs. Ford, Mr. Maroon, Mr. Steele, and Mrs. Mabry at St. Joseph Middle School and Mr. Schacht, Senor Sutton, Mr. Duval, Mrs. Kerner, Mr. Hess, and Ms. Steffen at St. Joseph-Ogden High School. Bode Gebbink
Baseball (4 years), We The People, Spanish Club, Spanish Club Leader, Maroon Platoon
Bode lives in St. Joseph with his parents. His hobbies are playing baseball, going to movies, and hanging out with friends and family. His greatest memories at SJO include playing in the IHSA Baseball Sectional Championship game at Illinois Wesleyan University his junior year, We The People State Competition during his senior year, and being a Spanish Club leader during his senior year. After high school, Bode will be attending Westminster College to major in finance and minor in Spanish. His advice for future SJO students is to get involved, keep up with all homework, and to have fun. His favorite classes at SJO were Geography with Mr. Kieffer, U.S. History with Mr. Beckett, and Business Management with Mr. Skinner. Throughout his years of schooling, his favorite teachers have been Mrs. James at St. Joseph Grade School; Mrs. Thompson and Mrs. Ford at St. Joseph Middle School; and Mr. Beckett, Senor Sutton, Mrs. Lindenmeyer, and Senora Nelson at St. Joseph-Ogden High School. Jordan Stiverson
Coffee Club
Jordan lives in St. Joseph with his family. He has two older sisters and one younger sister. His hobbies are camping, spending time with his friends and family, and fundraising for MBA. His greatest memories at SJO include working with his teachers and friends each week in the Coffee Club, and he really enjoyed watching the SJO varsity baseball team play in the IHSA State Baseball Tournament in Peoria. After graduation, Jordan will be continuing in the SJO Life Skills program. His advice for future SJO students is to have fun and to enjoy every moment of high school. His favorite class at SJO is his Coffee Club class with Mrs. Beckett. Throughout his years of schooling, his favorite teachers include Mrs. Mulvaney, Mr. Landis, Mrs. White, and Mr. Haas. Brodie Sullivan
Football (4 years), Wrestling (3 years), Track & Field (1 year), FFA, Office Helper, Maroon Platoon, Future Spartans Mentoring Program
Brodie lives in St. Joseph with his family. He has five siblings: four older sisters and one younger brother. His hobbies are fishing, camping, and hanging out with friends. His greatest memories at SJO include all of the Homecoming pep rallies, and walking out onto the football field before all home football games. After high school, Brodie plans to attend Parkland College to major in business marketing. His advice for future SJO students is to get involved and to do as much as you can as a part of the school. His favorite classes at SJO were Accounting with Mrs. Harbaugh and Advanced Civics with Mr. Schacht. Throughout his years of schooling, Brodie’s favorite teachers are Mrs. James at St. Joseph Grade School; Mrs. Stone and Mrs. Ford at St. Joseph Middle School; and Mr. Schacht and Mrs. Lindenmeyer at St. Joseph-Ogden High School.
