Mason Guido leads Panthers in meet with Urbana and PBL

The Panthers dominated a three-team boys’ cross-country meet at home on Friday (Sept. 25), outracing Urbana Uni High and Paxton-Buckley-Loda.
Six of the top 10 runners were from St. Joseph, led by runner-up Mason Guido, whose 2-mile time was 12 minutes, 21.6 seconds.
The team’s other top-10 performers were Lance Retz (third in 12:28.7), Jack Fisher (sixth in 12:46.0), Joe Greibot (eighth in 12:59.3), Kyler Swanson (ninth in 13:03.1) and Carson Sarnecki (10th in 13:03.6).
The Panthers return to action on Monday (Oct. 5) at Mahomet-Seymour’s 13 Acres Park in a meet that also includes Mount Zion.
