The Blue Devils had one top-five runner on Tuesday (Sept. 21) in a four-school boys’ cross-country meet at the UI Arboretum, in Urbana.
Urbana Uni High (33 points) was the team winner, followed by Heritage (41), Tuscola (69) and Villa Grove (90).
Kurt Zimmerman led VG, placing third in 18 minutes, 33.18 seconds on the 3-mile layout.
Chase White ran 18th in a 45-runner field, finishing in 20:27.75.
In his Senior Night meet, Caleb Wiessing was 29th in 22:03.65.
The Blue Devils’ other participants were Austin Zoch (33rd in 24:57.65), Blake Davis (43rd in 26:31.82) and Andrew Fonner (44th in 26:4.18).
