SJ-O relay places fifth at unofficial state indoor track and field meet at Illinois Wesleyan University’s Shirk Center

St. Joseph-Ogden’s 800-meter relay team placed fifth on Friday (March 24) in the Class 1A division of the Illinois Top Times unofficial state indoor track and field meet at Illinois Wesleyan University’s Shirk Center.

The foursome of Tyler Burch, Logan Smith, Colin Wayland and Tim Blackburn-Kelley was timed in 1 minute, 35.15 seconds. The event had 15 entries.

One other SJ-O athlete secured a top-10 placement. Junior Carson Maroon ran eighth in the 1,600 meters. He was timed in 4:34.24.

SJ-O returns to action outdoors on Monday (April 3) at Salt Fork.
