Oakwood/Salt Fork’s soccer team recorded its eighth shutout of the season on Tuesday (Sept 26), posting a 5-0 win over Iroquois West in Gilman.
The Comets held a 42-0 edge on shots attempted.
Brody Taflinger scored the first and last goals for Oakwood/Salt Fork. His first goal accounted for the only scoring in the first half.
Also netting goals were Ethan Merritt, Thomas Wells and Ty Smoot.
Macen Phillips registered three assists. Ending with one assist apiece were Smoot and Jacob Taflinger.
The Comets (11-6-1) return to action on Thursday (Sept. 28) at home against Georgetown-Ridge Farm.
