Playing short-handed, the Heritage volleyball team suffered a 25-14, 25-20 loss on Thursday (Oct. 12) at Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond.
Mary Roland handed out a team-best 16 assists. Gracie Tate smashed six kills.
The Hawks were playing without defensive specialist Lilli Montgomery, who was at her Senior Night cross-country meet, and the injured Bailee Lubben.
Heritage (17-12-2) returns to action on Monday (Oct. 16) in Champaign against undefeated Judah Christian (23-0).
