SJ-O girls’ basketball defeats Pontiac 59-57

St. Joseph-Ogden nailed 8-of-11 fourth-quarter free throws on Thursday (Jan. 4) and edged Pontiac, 59-57, on the Indians’ court.

Before the fourth quarter, SJ-O was 0-for-4 from the free throw line for the game.

Katie Ericksen tallied a team-high 19 points for the Spartans. Addy Martinie seconded her with 17 points. Addison Frick notched 12 points. Addison Brooks made five points, Sara Kearney wound up with four points and Kayla Osterbur added two points.

SJ-O (8-8) returns to action on Monday (Jan. 8) at home against Prairie Central.
