St. Joseph-Ogden’s Relay Team Secures State Medals with Third-Place Finish in Indoor Track Meet

One St. Joseph-Ogden relay earned state medals on Saturday (March 23) in the unofficial Class 2A boys’ indoor state track and field meet at Illinois Wesleyan University’s Shirk Center.
The 3,200-meter foursome of Lance Retz, Aden Armstrong, Spencer Wilson and Carson Maroon ended in third place. Their composite time was 8:10.96.
The top eight finishers in all events won state medals. A total of 133 schools had entries.
SJ-O had two other participants. Maroon placed 10th in the 1,600 meters (4:29.22) and Wilson ended 16th in the 800 meters (2:05.79).
SJ-O returns to action on Tuesday (April 2) in a five-school meet at Monticello.
