Guide to SJO Homecoming Festivities

St. Joseph-Ogden community will welcome their Spartan home during the week of September 24.

Tuesday

The SJO community is invited to the Powderpuff football game at St. Joseph-Ogden High School beginning at 7 p.m. The freshmen and junior teams will take the field first with sophomores and seniors to follow. Winner of game one will face the winners of game two to close out the night.

The Spartan marching band will also perform during the game.

The concession stand will be open beginning at 6:30 p.m. All proceeds go to benefit the Red Cross.  Admission to the game is free.

Wednesday

Come one, call all to Spartalympics!

All classes will compete in eight different games from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on the SJO track.

Admission to the event is free. Concessions will be open and profits will go to benefit charity.

Friday

The temperature should be great for an afternoon homecoming parade on Friday, September 28.

The parade will begin at 4:15 and travel down Main Street toward the high school.

Prior to kick-off in the game against Prairie Central High School at 7 p.m., SJO will welcome the 2018 Hall of Fame Inductees, Les Hoveln, Steve Maddock and Ashley Wright Paddock. Robbie Ring, who passed away in 2011, will also be honored.

The 2018 homecoming court will be introduced at halftime.

Parade Route

Saturday

Cookies and drinks will be served at SJO High School beginning at 8:30 as friends and family gather to take photos of the 2018 homecoming court from 9 to 9:30 p.m. on Saturday night.

Students will gather in the high school practice gym from 8 to 11 p.m. for the homecoming dance. Pictures will be taken in the hallway outside the gym. Visitors should use the north doors.
