The undefeated Mustangs improved to 5-0 on Thursday (Aug. 27) with a memorable performance.

Pitchers Parker Fitch, James Huisinga and Coy Taylor combined to throw a no-hitter and produce the school’s first shutout of the season with a 10-0 victory over Westville at Royal.

Fitch struck out nine batters in his three innings on the mound. He walked one.

Huisinga was 3-for-3 at the plate and drove in four runs. Fitch produced three hits and swiped two bases. Taylor totaled two hits, including a run-scoring single in the first inning that lifted PVO into a lead it never lost.

PVO drilled 13 hits against Westville.

The Mustangs will return to action on Wednesday (Sept. 2) in a makeup game at Newtown against unbeaten Oakwood.
